At the scientific level…
Profish is associated to Hydro-Quebec (Canada) in a R&D project to adapt the infrasound loudspeakers to the american eel issue on the large hydrpower dams of the St Lawrence River.
ProFish Technology collaborates closely with the team which invented the infrasound technology at the University of Oslo, Norway (link) : Professor O. Sand, Professor P. Enger, T. Kvernstuen and Dr. F. Knudsen.
Thanks to our collaboration with the Laboratory of Fish Demography and Hydroecology of the University of Liège, Belgium (Professor P. Poncin, Dr. J.C. Philippart and Dr. M. Ovidio, www.etho.ulg.ac.be), we remain closely in touch with the most recent work and studies on fish migration behaviour at the highest scientific level.
At the industrial level…
Profish has setup a collaboration with Genivar (Canada), the largest expertise in environmental consulting in Québec. Profish expands its services by proposing the automatic fish counting system Ichtyos® developped by Envirotel, a division of Genivar.
ProFish Technology works with Laborelec (www.laborelec.com), a technical competence centre in energy processes and energy use.
For infrasound monitoring units or for behavioural observations, ProFish Technology has chosen to work with SIMRAD echo sounders (www.simrad.com).
